Why I’m Running

Jay Carey is a Democrat running for the Congressional seat in North Carolina’s District 11. The current representative, Madison Cawthorn, has shown himself to be a fear mongerer, sexual predator, Nazi sympathizer and an incompetent legislator.

“I am running on a platform of accountability, inclusivity and empathy.”

During Jay’s twenty-plus year Army career, he deployed to multiple war-torn countries. While there, he had the opportunity to conduct effective community building which resulted in being awarded the Bronze Star while in Iraq.

“I want to see my district THRIVE; help provide new opportunities for business, accessible and affordable health care along with other basic needs we should have addressed now. I am the person to get that done.”
